Dr. Henry

Dr. Henry is our newest addition to the PHPQ team. She is originally from Mineola, Florida and attended veterinary school at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. During her time there she focused on zoo/wildlife medicine and participated in multiple externships at major zoological institutions around the world including Costa Rica, Canada, Uganda, South Africa, Zanzibar, and Spain. She graduated from UofG in 2022 and matched to a 12 month Small Animal Rotating Internship in Denver, CO. During her internship she participated in rotations with the neurology, internal medicine, critical care, surgery, and ER/ICU departments. She saw as many exotic patients as she could while working on the ER floor. While in Denver, Dr. Henry was also able to enjoy elective time at the Denver Zoo, Bronx Zoo, Vancouver Aquarium, Oregon Wildlife Safari Park, and the Fort Worth Zoo.

Dr. Henry's career goal is to pursue ACZM board certification in zoological medicine and work at a major zoological facility in either the USA or Africa. She is thrilled to be living in San Diego and wants to treat as many different species as she can during her internship with PHPQ. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, rock climbing, and hiking with her Springer Spaniel, Guinness.
